As of December 1, 2012, we are approved to administer the Department of Licensing Testing for both the Written and Driving Tests for licensure. Passing these tests are required by the state and will allow a person to obtain their first Washington State Driver's License.
All applicants must first pre-apply online at the DOL.WA.GOV website and log on to License Express to activate your account. You will receive an email confirmation from them and then contact us.
Please give us a call 470-7161 or email us at richardsonssafedriving@gmail.com to set up an appointment that will fit your schedule. We have very flexible hours for your convenience.

Thank you for your interest in Richardson’s Safe Driving School. We are certified by the Washington State Department of Licensing. Our curriculum offering is extensive in both the Classroom and Behind The Wheel (BTW) lessons.
My name is Steve Richardson and I am a retired teacher with 30 years of teaching experience in the Kent School District. I have a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I have been a state certified TSE instructor since 1969 and was the Traffic Safety Department Head at Kentwood H.S. for 16 years. I am currently a substitute teacher in both Cashmere and Wenatchee. My experience with thousands of students has validated my long-standing belief that high expectations and responsible, caring instruction are paramount in the education of students. It is my pledge, to every student, to provide a professional atmosphere and the best of my experiences. I will give them instruction in driving skills and attitudes that will enable them to be safe and cooperative drivers.
